Guests should arrive early to meet members and be introduced to the meeting format.
The meeting starts promptly at 7:00 PM.
What to expect:
You will be greeted at the entrance of the meeting room by a friendly officer of the club and you will be introduced to other guests and members.
There are three main parts of the meeting:
Table Topics: Impromptu speaking. Random members will be selected from the audience to answer a question asked by the Table Topics Master. For example: "Tell me about your favorite teacher." Don't worry, you will not be called on when you are a guest.
Scheduled Speeches: Up to five members give a speech on a topic of their own choosing. Topics can be humorous, serious, or informative. Different speakers are assigned every week.
Evaluations: Each scheduled speech is evaluated by a member of the club. The speaker gets confidence-building praise and some constructive suggestions for improvement.
